Maya Sherman is an experienced tech policy researcher, ethicist, and social innovation practitioner, with a demonstrated history of working in the Hi-Tech, Research, and Government sectors. She is a Scientific Council Member in the Israeli Association of Ethics in AI, IAEAI.
Maya has 10+ years of experience in the fields of AI policy and product design, tech consulting, diversity and inclusion, geopolitical research, and social technologies. She is working as a senior analyst at GlobalData PLC, providing strategic advisory on AI-related themes across business sectors globally.
Maya graduated with her MSc in Social Science of the Internet at Oxford University, exploring the intercultural digital ethics and governance of data-driven policies during crises. Her studies are funded by the Sloane Robinson Foundation as a Weidenfeld-Hoffman Scholar aimed at cultivating the next generation of global leaders from emerging markets.
Prior to Oxford, she got her BA (Hons.) from Reichman University and MA from Tel Aviv University. She was awarded Lauder, Sprinzak and Ragonis Scholarships for merit and research excellency.
